While most cancers stem from environmental factors, three that run in families are most common in women: breast, uterine and ovarian cancer.

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death in women, second only to lung cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, more than 40,000 women will die from the disease this year. This weekend, the MU Rec Center and Ellis Fischel Cancer Center are teaming up to do something about it.
